Merci

Merci was created in 2009 by Bernard & Marie-France Cohen and is an extremely eclectic concept store situated in the trendy Haut Marais. Merci brings together clothing, household items, design and two cafes together quite harmoniously. Merci loves to act as a launchpad to up and coming designers helping launch them through the hundreds of customers that walk through Merci daily. The best part about this concept store is that they use part of the proceeds to fund development in schools in South-West Madagascar. Merci is well known for its vintage little red car in the entrance courtyard, attracting more tourists in recent years than the nearby monuments at République.
The Broken Arm
12, Rue Perrée 75003 Paris
Every bobo creative in Paris knows and loves The Broken Arm, this 3 year old concept store sells clothing, accessories, and is highly regarded for its cafe. The Broken Arm is the smallest on our list but stocks items for someone with extremely forward and modern taste – stocking brands such as Vetements, Jacquemus, Lemaire & Loewe to name a few. The store could easily be pretentious with its impressive luxury items on display but something about the space and interior has completely gone against that notion in the best way possible. The cafe is quite popular on weekends situated adjacent the store on a sunny corner in Le Marais.
