In one of the most prestigious neighborhood of Buenos Aires, a new store successfully adapts, Dubié. Elegant and genuine, demanding and clear, the concept of Dubié is understood from beginning to end without harshness. Founded just a year ago by Agustina Dubié and Javier Martinez Bó, the brand is poised to make it simple, something perfect…
How would you define Dubié’s essence?
It is simple, and for a piece to be simple and interesting, the following formula has to work perfectly: good cut, impeccable tailoring and excellent quality of materials. With these three elements as a basis, we break the classic lines, we resignificate the piece, and we design timeless pieces with the imprint Dubié. The essence of the brand has a clear anchor in menswear, often imbued with that spirit male-female collections, but the accents of the season can vary depending on what we want to capture that moment.
How important is for you the production method?
It’s the most important thing for us. Being highly artisanal in the processes, it is essential to be aware of each of the stages. We try to carefully select our team of partners and suppliers. We are happy to have formed a team working so cute. While it was complex and took time to find the right people, we appreciate that process now because it makes everything easier and happier.
What types of fabrics are used at Dubié?
We use materials such as wool, silk, cotton, linen, flame, Peruvian pima cotton, alpaca, moahir. Are chosen because they are genres that we like to wear, and that are body friendly.
What color palette and why?
The choice of the color palette has to do with the idea of making timeless pieces, which have no expiration date. White and black are obviously the stars and blue in different shades.
When a piece at Dubié is finished?
Never! The year would still work, but at some point you have to hang and wait for feedback from the public.
What is the thing that you put your eye on when choosing a model?
That is a woman and not a girl.

Who would like to work and why?
With people of business: good seamstresses, shoemakers artisan weavers. They are ways of working which unfortunately were lost over time, but generate the differential or value added garments, which for those who appreciate it is invaluable.
What would you like to tell customers of Dubié?
That is the essential store. We give treasure pieces that never tire of using.
Dubié gave us some of the beautiful pictures of her last collection… take a look.
