Paris fashion week started for me and my camera on Thursday, September 29th at Chloe’s beautiful show and ended with a show-stopping Chanel at Grand Palais at 10 am on Monday, October 3rd. As I was the girl running around for five days with my camera around my neck, I got to experience Spring summer 2017 season with its variety of street style looks at its highest level.
The Chloe show was a mix of independent boho traveler with the noticeable Chloe girl stamp. Light cream, beige and pastel colour flowing silk dresses to peasant white shirts with lace detail and silk pyjamas for Chiara Ferragni.
Balamain show streetlooks were a variety of The Kardashians meets Balamain. High-class luxury and curve hugging dresses with overtheknee black suede boots were a big trend this season.
Ellie Sabb was a walk in the Tuillerie gardens for the elite of the fashion world. It involved a lot of running for me and my camera, to get the perfect space to shoot and catch pictures. I spotted Diane Kruger first upon arriving… She wore a soft blue diamond encrusted dress with a black leather bomber, looking as radiant as usual. From long red taffeta ball gowns to oversize autumn coats and leopard print pants, this was just a snippet of what I en- joyed.
Friday was another day on the streetstyle catwalks of Paris. From the early morning at Issey Miyake show, to the adrenalin rush and complete craziness of the Dior show, this day was very long. One of my best photography experiences so far was to get the opportunity to shoot a Dior show. This was literally a jungle of photographers, TV crews, 50 unhappy policemen and, of course, another stream of fashion world elite team. From Rihanna to Negin Mirsalehi, to Miroslava Duma to Anna Wintour … it was a fairytale for us photographers, being able to capture some of the best looks of the season.
Overall this year’s Paris fashion week was an artistic creation in itself. Here fashion meets art and streetstyles meets vogue. From 10 espressos a day to running between Grand Palais and Opera Garnier, let’s say I can’t wait for next season.
Enjoy my pictures.
