You’ve probably looked at some of the crazy and wild trends that came out during Fashion Month, thinking to yourself, “oh, I love that but how am I supposed to wear that to work?” Fair enough, not all of us can pull off a leopard print jumpsuit or a see-through mini dress at the office.
However, fashion month was also full of trends that you’ll be able to wear during the day or night. Here are some of Flur Magazine´s top trends from Fashion Month that you’ll be able to wear on the streets.
Asymmetric Shoulders

Fashion Month went back to the past and reinvented the asymmetric shoulder. Throughout the runways, they were seen on dresses, tank tops, blouses, and more – ranging in a variety of patterns from floral to metallic, giving a new flavor to a classic design.
Velvet

When people think of velvet, they think of their grandmother’s curtains. However, this spring-summer fashion shows, it was all everyone was talking about. What’s not to love about it? It’s soft, glimmers against the light and it’s fun to wear out. Though velvet was being seen on the runway last year, this year, it has a twist, you’ll see velvet with embroidery and lace.
It’s ruffle time

Who would have thought that ruffles would be making a comeback? Well, at Fashion Month, they were everywhere. Alexander McQueen and Chloé were just some of the fashion designers that brought back cascading ruffles. They weren’t overdone, but rather, were designed to give the silhouette a feminine, yet bold look.
Leather it up

You can never have enough leather in your closet. This fashion month, you can see leather coats, dresses, trousers, crop tops and skirts. They were seen in a shinier synthetic material and also in a matted look. They didn’t have an exact style and were seen on the runway ranging from gladiator to grunge.
Say hello to denim

And you thought denim were only your daisy dukes, well think again. It was all about denim this month, making it the fabric of Fashion Month. Pants, button-down, jackets – whatever it was, it was in denim. Specially in mens’ wear, where Balmain went with a 90’s inspiration such as many other brands.
Sequins

You’re probably as surprised as I am for the return of sequins. But, it’s back in style at Fashion Month. Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci – all the hottest designers were showing off their head to toe sequin designs. Love it or hate it, sequins are the way to go if you are looking to light up your Friday nights out.
So, if you thought you wouldn’t be able to wear any of the trends from Fashion Month, you were wrong. Try incorporating these new trends into your streetwear for a fresh and fun look.
